The 100 Mile race will consist of two out and back legs. The first leg starts at the Nordic loop and turns around at the Scuppernong campground for a round trip distance of 62.9 miles. After returning to the Nordic loop the 100 mile participants will return to the course, but take a 2nd leg to Rice Lake with a round trip distance of 37.3 miles. A pacer will be allowed to accompany the runner from the 62.9 mile point. The course time limit has been set to correspond to a standard time limit for the 100 mile distance. Link to Aid Stations and Cutoffs It will be our official policy that any runner not making a cut-off time with be pulled from the course for purposes of safety and course logistics. The only exception to this is at Hwy 12 at mile 85.9 and the runner must be in adequate physical shape to finish the race and have a pacer. We appreciate your help and understanding with this policy. Runners registered for the 100 mile solo race may drop at the 100km finish. They will have their times recorded and reported to Ultra Running magazine in the order they finish. They will receive 100km finishers awards. However, they will not be eligible for any place awards for the 100km. In other words, runners may win place awards only in the event which they are registered in.
